POINTY FINGER: Laurel stabs Ben.

BLACK Humour meets romantic comedy in the latest BATS Theatre show in Wellington.

Black Romedy is billed by producer Mr Richard Finn as “one hour, two shows, four actors and many laughs”.

Four performers from the Whitireia Performing Arts Centre appear, where Finn teaches.

Each half hour performance features two actor-comedians, all with stage and screen training from the applied arts programme of Whitireia Community Polytech.

The first show, 14 Days Left, is written by and stars Jared Kirkwood a multi platform actor and story teller.

It also features Kirkwood’s partner in black RomCom – Sandra Malesic.

The second show, Fight the Fat, features the characters Laurel ( Hannah Botha) and Ben (AJ Murtagh.)

Tickets to the show range from $13  for students to $18 and the play runs until Saturday March 22.

BATS theatre has moved to a new temporary location, known as Out of Sight, and you can find a map here.

Newswire had a fifteen minute preview of the second part of the double bill comedy and you can see the pictures here.
